I’ve hated the reaction stuff ever since I saw a boondocks saints figure.
i remember being horrified by pudgy pig but also bemused years later wondering if the roman helmet was meant to imply some kind of “fascist pig” joke that didn’t make it through translation or what

Now that Funko isn’t running the show, Reaction’s classier for the most part. But those MMPR monsters aren’t as cool as the old bigger Bandai ones yet seem consciously modeled on them (but as someone pointed out above, those were always impossible to find).
Their Pee Wee line was a similar misstep compared to the original Matchbox series, and Pee Wee himself looked like Jello Biafra.
They’ve done some super cool stuff lately though like Ghosts N Goblins.
For the really good monster cops are bastards shit you gotta go to Kakuranger

It’s a greek helmet, not roman, as the inspiration for the monster’s design is the story of Circe turning Odysseus’ crew into swines.

i got some aqua shooters, and they’re really cool. very difficult to assemble though, they seem to be made for people whos hands are both very strong and very tiny

it seems there’s a few high quality low price blind box figure lines around these days! next on my list i want to get some robot concerto figures. they’re mecha figures, but they’re also a kind of building system because all the parts are interchangable, and i think the robots in each series can be combined.
aqua shooters and robot concerto are both 500jpy per figure in actual japan, but obviously we dirty foreigners who have to rely on toy websites have to pay more. (though if you shop around, you can get them for still ok prices. i got aqua shooters series 3, consisting of 3 figures and 2 accessory packs, for 3000jpy + shipping from mandarake). it’l be a few months at least before my next toy purchase though, i got some moderately big things i gotta pay for in the near future

I have no idea, I assume it’s supposed to be like, the roof of its mouth? Like, the palate or whatever that one part is called. I tried to find more pictures, but it looks like absolutely nothing, it’s almost frustrating.
The art for the board game omits it entirely:
