Woah!
I can imagine Gomander as a table centerpiece. Or maybe hanging from the ceiling.
i really like the idea of an original indie action figure line!
i’m not super-keen on the mecha designs, and it sucks that the female characters are like 4 stretch goals down the list, but if it have a bit of money spare in a few weeks, i might get something from this
never seen this before: a dr. mario-themed operation-alike
.
As a kid I preferred Hotwheels because they were a bit heavier so they didn’t flip over as easily. I suppose kids who played with their toy cars indoors may have had different standards.
So out of curiosity and having $10 to burn on a Target gift card I bought a Hexbug Junk Bots dumpster, which is a blind box that contains the core parts for 2 of the 36 Junk Bots (I got Surge and Trixie, imho if this was a Gatcha I’d call this a weak pull)
The unboxing is kind of fun in itself, there’s a rubber chain wrapping the whole thing up with a plastic padlock to pop off, and then a lot of the smaller components are in little black plastic baggies that look like trash bags. In addition to the main body/head/limbs for each of the two bots there are additional greebles in case you want to customize your little bots a bit. The pieces are mostly ball-and-socket joints that snap together with varying degrees of difficulty, and the resulting connections for some bits can be a bit flimsy. These are definitely build-and-display toys more than they are meant for actual play, imho.
I’m kinda into this, minus the blind-box aspect which I really don’t like for what is ostensibly a children’s toy. I don’t particularly love blind-boxes at all, but it is what it is. I might wind up picking up more in the future. They come in three sizes of blind box, which contain either 4, 2 or 1 bot. There are also light-up and motorized modules that come in the larger boxes which can be added to give your bots some minor power functions. I just slapped one of the light up modules onto my Trixie bot for shits and giggles.
how gorgeous is this

marty mcfly action figure featuring removable head.
I was disappointed that it’s not a straight recreation, and actually tried to be a full game, but there’s this: MY 1980's DASHBOARD on Steam
would you want to pay money for an exact recreation? remember that it has no score or fail state or even any interaction other than moving from side to side
all the appeal is in the workings of the physical item itself
