The reported compensation is in line with what I’ve seen. It’s on the low end of union scale but I wouldn’t expect an individual fight to be very successful without an external mobilized fanbase. And the inability of studio workers to unionize and get residuals for themselves has meant I always see the bulk of game workers resenting these VO asks.
Low game VO pay is a big reason why people like Troy Baker are trying to be more integrated as motion performance ‘directors’, becoming an obvious larger part of the studio.
Of course the real answer is that games should never add voice acting. (I’m kidding) (no I’m not)

the other wrinkle to all of this is apparently actors and the union are getting ready to renegotiate game VO pay

Silent Hill 2 trailer was about what I expected. I guess there’s always firing up PCSX2 and the Greatest Hits version!
I recall liking Stories Untold (haven’t played Observation, hopefully that one was less, uh, uneven), so Townfall (goofy-ass name!) could be OK.
But that trailer for Silent Hill f…hell yeah. That looks alright.
