Is this why they take forever to load on mobile? despite like… nominally only being text files?
that is some motion sickness in a box, right there. Like even worse than FPS games do to me as a grown up
Not sure, but even if you click the button to view in text mode you get something that looks like plain text but is actually this:

… and on it goes.
there’s a really good fft system guide… ive said this before but i would adore (adore!!) an rpg of some kind designed around an in-game material player’s manual!! flower, sun, and rain meets fft…
it’s too bad a lof of those d&d games seem so idk… lacking in vibes + swag + uhhh game design lol. ig planescape torment is kind of considered Classic but like do ppl really like icewind dale??? idk. bc they seem designed around familiarity with ad&d 2e (?)
maybe id like a hardtype fft hack
It started before that–when Kickstarter came along and everyone suddenly thought there was actual money to be made and sold out.
There’s an interesting thing you can witness by checking the results of the GameFAQs poll “How old are you?” that they do every year. In 1999 users aged 13-15 made up 33% of the userbase, now it’s 0.45%. So obviously nobody new comes to GameFAQs and it’s just us same old skeletons still using the site…
on the actual content view it looks like it’s split up into some pre tags. prob easier to scrape that and concatenate it. it looks like the text view puts it all in a content attribute?
Gamers these days just aren’t asking questions frequently anymore
Random Chinese-made game that likely won’t actually be good but seems interesting: they’ve made a physics-based “one guy attacked by many” game designed to look like old martial arts flicks, and oddly in motion the physics at times makes it feel more true to how said fight scenes actually looked?
This is actually super-useful, thank you
oh so that’s why my twitfeed was full of gamermilk yesterday
