I didnā€™t even know you can put a docked Switch sideways until I saw that picture of Sakuraiā€™s setup someone posted here (Wii U still holding out!)

90% of my Switch use is handheld, with the Hori Split Pad Pro.

The two scenarios where I deviate from that:

  • Tabletop mode while Iā€™m stuck meetings that donā€™t require much active involvement from me with the 8bitdo SN30
  • When Iā€™m playing games online (mainly Smash) or want to capture footage, I put it in the Brook Power Bay Ethernet dock with built-in Ethernet and GameCube controller ports. The dock itself is pretty good, except that it sends DisplayPort over HDMI instead of a standard HDMI signal, so my HDMI switcher does not accept its signal and I need to fuck with cables whenever I want to switch between Switch and anything else. Not like I was gonna play it on a display much anyway!
