holy fuckin shit this ruled so hard. I watched Episode 1 earlier tonight and got hooked. then I left VR chat a little early to watch the premier and it ruled even harder. Not only does the artist animate and has a phenomenal script, but knows how to fuckin frame a shot. god. it’s so rare for all this shit to come together and for someone’s singular vision to get realized, but when it does? magic.
hell yeah I just assumed this was never gonna happen
“Everyone knows I’m an asshole, I was born this way”
so extra
still love the vocal filtering, it pretty much makes this
Absolutely phenomenal. Can’t wait for episode 3 when I’m 45
OH FUCK IT’S SO GOOD
Knew it was coming out but did a double take when it actually released and saw that it was 40 minutes OVA length. I had no idea that the beginning scene was referencing this until someone else pointed it out
I love stuff like this, it’s a pastiche of so many different things at once that it just ends up feeling totally original. Like it’s all instantly familiar but when I think about trying to list out all the stuff it reminds me of I get very overwhelmed. I know the creator would live stream their work in progress, do they ever talk about their influences?
I’d imagine they were influenced by Star Fox.
sublime
this project could have easily devolved into hollow fanservice or whatever, but no, the characters breathe and sigh and pause and have genuine, complicated interiority. excellent vibes, top-shelf stuff, etc, etc.
furries stay winning
So are the things “at the other side of the hole” supposed to reference the space insects in Star Fox Assault?
Damn you mean in order to get all the references I’m gonna have to play the crappier games in the series
no dont
Star Fox Command contains the most “what if” fractures of the series with characters pairing up or splitting off. Star Fox Assault contains some Fox and Wolf scenes plus a little bit of plot that is kind of compelling. Star Fox Adventures is…flawed.
maybe unpopular opinion but Star Fox Adventures was an amazing game. It just wasn’t a Star Fox game.
Starfox 64 had too much plot
Man, the first one was just this self contained little thing that blossomed unbidden from the internet, and it could have just stayed that way, a tiny flickering jewel, but now… now this is a series, and I’m going to need more. I can’t wait another however many years. What has this man done to me
