10,000 Bulletins: No One Can Stop the Presses! (Part 1)

the best RPGs of the past 20 years are the Yakuza series. Not even talking about 7 here. 7 rules though, but they have always been RPGs, right down to the random encounters in the original versions of 1 and 2.

the most humorous thing about this to me is that David Jaffe does not seem to have much of his own fanbase of support or following despite being involved with a lot of big games - and he was totally mobbed by Cruelty Squad fans. he shows all the signs of a guy who completely burned his bridges with the industry and is trying not particularly successfully to be a content creator person now.

He runs a stream with little sneering bro commentators, I think it must appeal to nearly no one

What’s with this guy’s Twitter banner being a can of diet coke and his youtube channel name being “spidey999”. The taste level of one of the foils in an Ottessa Moshfegh novel

every time I hear talk about Blue Dragon I confuse it with Blue Stinger, goddangit

I haven’t played either but “Blue Stinger is depression the videogame” just made sense to me

this is oculus exclusive right now but it looks great

This better not be another PSVR exclusive, that behavior is thwarting my good time as PC VR person.

It sucks that there’s no one cutting checks besides Sony and Oculus. I wouldn’t mind a monkey paw situation where Epic gets some of the PSVR exclusives like RE7 ported.

Pocky&Rocky does… did(?) get a re-release?
Is that what I am seeing here?

Pocky & Rocky Reshrined is a Tengo Project re-envisioning/sequel, like Wild Guns Reloaded and The Ninja Warriors Once Again, due out this fall on Switch and Playstation.

what do people who work for valve actually do? like, maybe I can’t say that anymore since they somehow made a half life game that everyone has already forgotten about because only 15 people own a VR headset, but like, what does everyone else there do? what did the alyx people do for the previous 15 years? I’m sure they are all millionaires on account of some company steam profit sharing scheme, and obviously they need employees to manage steam nonsense, but they have somehow convinced people that they are not exclusively a fee procurement shell staffed entirely by accountants, lawyers, customer support staff and tech backend, right?

CSGO skins and Dota 2 battle passes

I believe they’ve been working on various projects that never were released. I think I’ve read that valve’s corporate structure is this weird decentrailzed system or something so people just kind of do what they want until maybe a finished product materializes somewhere?
