i’ve played 2,0,2 enpugh to instantly see that the scene shown in 1 is not contained in either of them, so excuse me for a moment, i have to go outside and shout a lot of words.
Well, I guess I’m buying a PS6.
I still haven’t played The Last Guardian and I think I might not ever bother.
Nooooooooooo
would honestly not recommend it though the PSVR demo is cute

Last guardian is really really good and people hounded it over some framerate like a bunch of babies
it runs smooth on the PS5 apparently, but only the disc version because the digital version has the latest patch which locks the framerate
I played The Last Guardian and while clearly flawed I pretty much smiled every second I spent with it as while a ton of devs were inspired by Team Ueda’s games they really are the only ones who produce that specific mix.
my time with it was honestly all but spoiled by:
-
the level design being completely out to lunch; it was like the Netflix series version of Ico
-
the knowledge that it’s building toward a tragedy which is no longer ludonarratively novel
Yeah the trick of video games is you live in the space and playing it is archeology. I had no clue what the society that built all these square empty rooms with a dog-cat-bird was like but they made some pretty towers with square empty rooms and some bridges with square empty rooms and cave side square empty rooms that I existed in for 10 hours.
I love the cat-dog-bird.
yeah
it creeps me out and is prob the #1 reason i refuse to play
hitler in 3… 2… 1…
this looks cool and just came out

ITT I confess that I didn’t like Ico enough to finish it actually and since The Last Guardian just seemed like more of that I was never particularly jazzed about it. This may be a faulty assumption on my part.
(I liked SotC quite a bit but I also never want to play it again).
I think I like looking at Ueda game concept art more than I like playing Ueda games
yeah i also weirdly have avoided playing The Last Guardian. mostly because i heard it’s like over 40 hours?? but also because it just didn’t look that interesting to me? like i think it’s a case of a game that simply took too long to be made and didn’t seem distinct enough from the previous work. my interests moved elsewhere in the time between Shadow of the Colossus and TLG.
