oh fucking hell yes
El Shaddai will be $39.99 when it debuts on Steam in September. A $13.99 DLC artbook will also be available. Also going to be a bonus post-game novel called Lucifer’s Call Fall.
is this just a digitized version of the actual art book that I have? curious.
The Steam page has excepts from it, so you can check if these match up with what you already have.
Pretty sure most of those are in the book, but this doesn’t appear to be scans. I’ll grab it later to see.
The original is sick and long overdue for a reinterpretation.
for a game I bought for 5 bucks new, 6 months after it came out, this is such a power move that I have to respect it
the game seems interesting as like a 5 year fan project but i’m honestly much more fascinated by the legal and financial situation of this technically unlicensed but made with the knowledge of the lego corporation game having a steam page
also there is a completely seperate bigger than you would think scoped bionicle fangame still in production
My son is in various states of frothing for both of these games; following their development has been pretty entertaining.
Are there really two video games coming out that are entirely about creating a game that looks like the trailer for the Bionicle video game that I saw in a postage stamp sized quicktime file that took an hour to download in 2001 that was quietly cancelled, twenty years later, specifically to capitalize on the unrealized promise of the imagination of aging millenials desperate to return to their childhoods?
I wonder if they’ll have the original culturally appropriative names, and then have a meltdown when folks politely ask them to update them to the revised names.
please come mark the passage of time with me
I remember playing a Bionicle Myst-like one afternoon, but I have no recollection of whether it was within a browser or off of a mini cd.
EDIT: Oh hey, this is it Mata Nui Online Game (2001) - BOGA - The BIONICLE® Online Games Archive (unofficial fan site not affiliated with The LEGO Company. See the site footer for details)
Fav piece of weird bionicle trivia is that the first movie only got a soundtrack release to celebrate it’s “”“fourteenth”"" anniversary.
I guess now’s the time to make bionicle keycaps
me when lawyers ruin the bionicle fan games
