Nickelodeon Smashers

What kind of makes me perk up is that Ludosity is at least co-developing it. Besides being makers of games like Ittle Dew, Princess Remedy and Card City Nights they also made their own Smash-like called Slap City which is definitely one of the most Goofy Fun games in the Platform Fighter genre or whatever that I’ve ever tried.

Pretty surprised that there was no Avatar representation in this initial reveal.

I saw Michaelangelo in the trailer there as well but fully expecting even more Donatello erasure.

I don’t think he’s saying the game is better shorter, in fact I read it as the opposite - he wants to shut down any perception that precious content is cut, he wants to promise the consumer that this only includes more, more, more. Perfectly in-keeping with the public mutually-flagellating relationship he cultivates with his audience.

We’ve talked about how inappropriate the ‘auteur’ label is in games (when it barely functions in film) but the best argument that it should be applied to Kojima more than any other director is how he’s been able to survive and thrive as team sizes have shifted drastically and he’s even left and founded a brand new company and shipped on time with something just as high-polish as always while maintaining the team voice and being, if nothing else, interesting. It’s a peerless production and leadership skill even as it leaves us lots of room to discuss whether it’s worthwhile.

The PS360 version of Sleeping Dogs was another fun one of these, where for a few years, until the “HDer” PS4XONE version came out, the only version you could get was one with bonus cars, weapons, and multiple XP boosters that maxed out all the XP bars within like 2 hours of starting the game.

There’s a pastebin floating around claiming Halo guns are coming to Destiny around Christmas as a 30th anniversary celebration

Now I understand the Sonic fans that get unreasonably excited about /v/ posts claiming the next game will have 30 playable characters

The nagging anti-doubt in my head is that Microsoft chalked it up as Halo Infinite comarketing
