They’re not for everyone, but I enjoyed a couple of pleasant evenings with Syberia 1 and 2.
Wow, that sucks. Would have loved to see more games from him
Sonic Team making a “Breath of the Wild inspired” open world game that presumably started preproduction in 2017 is where all of the world lines converge. It had to be this way.
Letting people know on the day of the delisting is pretty shitty
RIP, shift 2 unleashed is pretty great

also this is kind of impressive longevity for shift 1
are we talking about the release date or the “tenth installment” because yes, it did come out in 2006, I remember seeing it at a Wii prerelease event
Personally I think its unfortunate that The Run is disappearing. It’s a weird game, but I liked its smorgasbord style as an alternative to the typical collection of tracks style of racing games.
In perhaps the most brazen case yet of indie developers directly mining my subconscious for game ideas, there’s a game on Kickstarter that combines tumblr-cute art, JRPG durdling, and Tetris.
I sat down this morning as soon as I saw it and played straight through the demo, which took ~5 hrs. The writing Sunbow-level bad and the build I played was super broken and I backed it immediately. It’s resolutely, over the top gentle – e.g., when you beat a living boss, they’re always shown scampering away afterwards – and the Tetris-based combat has some deckbuilding bits, like clumsier blocks giving you attack bonuses.
Also apparently Tangledeep is a ?thing? that this is related to, but I have no clue what or whether it’s good.
I think this is newly opened? Just wanted to share it here for people who like DQ but haven’t seen it.
i was just surprised NFS carbon was apparently supported online for 15 years, that is absurd and pretty cool
ok i’m in if we ever get a group together
“nordic democracy simulator starring my terrible ethnic son part 2” is apparently also coming to PS4:
at this point there’s gonna be no reason to buy a PS5 before the redesign like with the PS3
we could make a fucking better youtube video about it at least
this feels like a tacit admission that PS5’s will be impossible to buy for at least another year
wonder if sony is gonna do an ambassador program for people who slugged it out to get one during the semiconductor shortage, sort of like nintendo did with the 3DS
I’m really glad I have a good gaming PC and don’t have to sweat finding one! even if I’ll probably never find a ray tracing video card until PS5’s are cheaper/more available
There’s already these games but they’re Plus-only.
It’s gonna be awkward for those of us with non-Pro PS4s. I wonder if these brand new PS4+PS5 games will be adequate on it
