oh hmmm. i guess i misunderstood.

well then…uh, i guess i have no clue!

that’s weird. i just tested it again just to be sure, and it’s working fine for me.

no

computers can do spatial math at extraordinary speed but effectively every molecule exists in an independent void, unaware of anything around it, owning only itself. A signal out to space to ask if it is near or inside another molecule is a rare gift from the gods granted maybe once every thousand turnings of the clock

only perversities can come from computers modeling bodies

the only smart move is to assume every human is a sphere

This is the ideal male body. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

I only do pre-rendered stuff instead of real-time and even then clipping and simulating hair in general is just a bitch

Ok I get it but then why base your character design around this long flowing hair placed exactly where it will constantly clip through the player model

I mean maybe I’m asking too much of the ass jiggle game here

I don’t know, is flowing hair that acts like a ghosted image, emphasising motions, worth more clipping? I’m a big fan of motion trails especially for movement so I’d lean yes but maybe if they went with a more cartoony art style the expected technical issues would be less disruptive.

Making this more difficult: ask a technical artist and they’ll say, yes, cloth physics can be tuned to fix this. But: is your technical artist good enough? Did you give them enough time? Did you remember to triple the time estimate they gave you to make this work, and then increase it every time you added new animations in other places? Probably not.
