Zelda Echoes of Wisdom and beds

Has anyone used the Automatons at all?

Like, doing the little scavenger hunt to inspire Dampe to make them is fun, but they’re so impractical (I’m not gonna drink a potion to make key turning faster just so I can use them!). They also feel very late-game in nature, which, by that point, why are you gonna use anything but the Lynel anyway.

Come to think of it, I didn’t mess with Dampe’s stuff in the LA remake, either. Get the heck outta here, Dampe…

Automatons really suffer because of how much effort they take to acquire and equip.

Echoes just outclass them in every way.

I think they were intended as a series of special super echoes but echoes are too easy to acquire and cast

I’ve been playing this with my wife and we’re enjoying it. There’s too much dialogue. It’s not quite got the cleverness in overall design of the best Zeldas, but I’m rather enjoying it as a fun puzzle platformer with some neat mechanics.

I got an out of body experience playing Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, by saying to my kid « the door is closed, maybe it will open if we lit all the torches »

I’m enjoying the laidback necromancer fighting in this game. I have slashed enough videogame monsters in my life, my pals Peahat + Club and Shield lvl 2 Moblin can take my place for a while

This game really suffers from the direct comparison to Link’s Awakening, with its sleepytime music, too much dialogue, unmemorable characters, PurpleBlack enemies. There’s a general lack of passion coming from this game, it feels like managers made sure no one was having too much fun making this.

I’m really loving the concept though. Summoning beds to stack them to climb a building…. If only this game was a little bit cooler…
