this new st vincent record is fantastic, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the singles, but this sounds like trent reznor producing nancy sinatra half the time
Where has this band been all my life
Consistently performing the same rock solid show over and over and over across the nation.
Also,
When my family lived in suburban North Carolina in the late nineties-early aughts my younger brother’s best friend was this kid down the street Robbie. I remember Robbie’s dad having a guitar and like whatever around the house, but as my younger brother glossed over in casual conversation a few months ago: turns out Robbie’s dad was/is Rob Lind, gosh durned sax player from The Sonics.
Also Robbie got a Dreamcast on launch, the little shit, and picked Ready 2 Rumble as his game what a joke.
Not a song but I’m gonna assume other people have linked non-lyrical pieces in here
ahhhh Laurel Halo was incredible last night
that is some real ugly and ferocious bolt thrower worship, heck
vocals are that kind of croaky black metal style and it’s a weirdly perfect fit
nice!
my metal pick of late is some delicious death/doom:
Sorry but all this talk of Bolt Thrower
I gotta
it has returned again to haunt me
Just
Just
That padloop may soundtrack my interment
this song rules duh
