Tool sure took an unexpected turn
since i am in a good mood today, i am gonna carpet-bomb (like only the EDF can) this k-track on y’all
so that you can wonder who Aiyu or Rin is, before you realize
hell YEAH, Davichi and Jisun co-oping a M. Carey song? That’s all I wanted for Christmas!
and get it out of your head until it actually IS christmas, and you won’t have to make up excuses why you listen to k-pop.
And since I am pretty sure in assuming that you wonder now who the hell Jisun is, well, listen and be enlightened:
this song is so good that it has crept up my alltime fav list and may very well become an all-time-classic, but that is another story for another year.
I remember pulling this out of my step-father’s CD collection c. like, 1998, and insisting we listen to it because I thought the band name was really cool and it looked like something from Hackers. I didn’t like a single track (not my thing), but looking at their Wikipedia page, they have an interesting origin:
The group was founded as an attack on the Neo-Nazi subculture by fusing hardcore punk views with German techno. […] ATR’s early releases (which included the track “Hetzjagd Auf Nazis!”/“Hunt Down the Nazis!”) were surrounded by controversy in Germany. After signing to major European label Phonogram Records in 1993, the band received a large financial advance which they duplicitously used to set up their own record label: Digital Hardcore Recordings (DHR).
Nice.
(I guess they’d be Atari Middleage Riot by this point)
Had a dream I was in high school and humming this. It’s weird because music usually isn’t a thing in my dreams
i occasionally get the “el ritmo” at the beginning stuck in my head, but i forgot what it was from. i guess it’s from this.
Chris Hülsbeck is Mr Turrican OST, iirc?
yeah and gianna sisters
