i never really got into the dance versions of a lot of his stuff tbh. i like how languid and dreamlike the cello stuff is. but it’s neat that alternate versions of those songs exist and they are interesting in their own way i suppose.

imo it’s an important part of his aesthetics that there are all these different versions and reworkings and mixes of the songs and they’re as much a part of their compositional life as the melody and harmonic material or the lyrics or whatever
