From a distance MCR seems like a thing that should interest me. It’s gaudy, overblown, and surrounded by all of this intense queerness. But I can’t seem to find an angle in. Every time I’ve tried to listen to them, it’s just… there are no dynamics. It’s all full-throttle emotion and volume start to end, so I can’t get a grip on anything or find any kind of narrative. Is there, like, a preferred way to go about this?
