this is feels like the experience of another person at this point, but in a time long ago i tagged along on a weird ramshackle series of gigs around japan with a random group of bands that included this one
we traveled by shinkansen and one of the dudes from the japanese indie label sponsoring the tour followed us with all their gear in a car, he wore a cowboy had and loved to tell the joke basically that he was not a “cow boy” but a “car boy”
au revoir simone had their own like dress sponsors that they had to wear at various gigs, and one of the concerts was played inside a dress shop?
anyway they were pretty cool & aloof, i guess exactly what you would want a band like that to be. it’s cool to see they’re still around

The most uncanny thing in it being that her bf plays a Jem
kinda cool to see how much she’s been dipping into different types of songs since she left SNSD, so that seems to have worked out well for her. If you haven’t, give the Lips to Lips EP a shot.

I had intended to finally catch up with this thread earlier today, but I instead got stuck when this video impelled me to look up more performances by the vocalist and others doing this type of thing. I’ve only ever heard most of the songs they cover as background noise, but the performances are pretty entertaining.
