Thereās a lot of crooney vocals on this new Andrew WK record.
Iām now into that back half and he went from doing a power metal thing to sounding like the dude from Spacehog to going for a straight up Bowie.

this is one of the songs i like mostly because it uses vocal samples. pretty sure i heard this via one of those livejournal mixtape communities where thereād be a theme every week and youād post some mp3s to go along with that theme (thatād be cool to do again).

One of my favorite songs of all time is the Shangri-Laās Give Him a Great Big Kiss, but the version thatās performed like, x1.5 as fast as the final release and mixed all fucked-up and ends with āthe butcher, the baker, the candlestick makerā.
If you like the Shangri-Las you should check out Lesley Gore, sheās rad as fuck.
Iāve been getting this stuck in my head all week except I didnāt know the lyrics, so I just kept repeating the āLike a rolling thunder chasing the windā part as āLike a river flowing into youā, which made trying to remember what this song was via Google a real pain in the ass. I knew it had to be like, Live or Filter or Bush or one of those lame 90s bands.
Also, I didnāt recall this song having the lyric āher placenta falls to the floorā.
