Even if I got this quickly I still disliked today’s word

yeah it feels kind of like cheating, doesn’t it. i don’t even know the term for that kind of word

I saw y’all freaking out and tried to get clever. Hoisted by my own petard.
Wordle 224 4/6
Kotoba Asobou 言葉遊ボウ 6 9/12
nearly failed
Daily Dordle #0005 4&7/7
did not like this one
Primel 28 4/6
so far i’ve shot myself in the foot a few times with Kotoba Asobou coz most of the vocab i know is obscure kanji words from WaniKani and very little of it is actual like N5 daily-use stuff
Wordle 224 3/6
Today’s took me all of ten seconds thanks to correctly guessing the first two letters. My first guess was comic and second was count. Pretty lucky and feels like a great start to the day.
Wordle 224 4/6
Guess #3 was MOUND, and it took a moment to get from that to the correct answer, given the different pronunciations. English!

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can. I certainly felt over the hill by the end.

Dordle feels like its answer list is uncurated.
Wordle 224 4/6
knowing which letters are actually used most frequently in romanizations and which combinations are even possible makes it even easier (no consonant endings except n, ng, and rarely r, i never appears at the beginning of a word, no vs at all, z, k, and q are all probably more common than in english, “fiao” is not possible). trying to do it only with guesses that are actual idioms sounds like it would be impossible…
i’ll admit that had to look up the wikipedia page for pinyin because i couldn’t figure out how to construct a random 4 letter word where the second letter was a vowel and the last two letters were not “ng”
idk, i just think it’s kinda funny how in many languages this game can be more of a test of understanding the language’s phonotactics rather than its vocabulary (i’m imagining how much easier the japanese version would be if you guessed romanized words)
Wordle 225 5/6*
this one struggled every step of the way
Kotobade Asobou 言葉で遊ぼう 7 8/12*
i was about to hit guess hell for this one but then i thought to check possible guesses against my japanese dictionary and only venture one if the first few entries sounded fairly common/low-level
Daily Dordle #0006 4&5/7
this one was actually quite engaging
Primel 225 4/6*
inevitable…

yo this rips
This is why if wordle let you guess things that weren’t real words it would be a lot harder
Daily Dordle #0005 5&6/7
Huh! I’d never before gotten a guess that was correct but for two letters in each others’ places–and here it happens twice in a row.
Daily Dordle #0005 3&5/7
I liked the picture this one made.
I was really upset this used a proper noun, but then I discovered that tonga has a non-proper-noun meaning and the joke’s on me I guess (tbh, I don’t hate Wordle’s more limited word pool)
