we're in a guitar center hanging out now (formerly the electronic music tech appreciation thread)

this looks rad, way more practical than all the software that’s visually mimicking eurorack.

Bespoke is addicting… this might be one of the best pieces of software ever made? I’m just getting lost fiddling with mono synth, barely scratching the surface

yeah it looks super fun; i’m excited to mess with it once i finish my current project

speaking of learning new stuff, i picked up Baby’s First Analog Synth a couple weeks ago and i’m having a lot of fun getting the hang of it

ugh I was thinking about the minibrute 2 a while ago because the sequencer built in but it just never came together for me

the even more dangerous part of it is that you can actually get a little addition that’s essentially a eurorack case so you can use the minibrute AND eurorack in one package

those arturia eurorack cases are pretty good, and having the semi modular patchbay on the minibrute (or other similar type of synths) makes getting into modular a lot easier. gives you a lot of the basic functional boring bits in a box - albeit usually a bit more awkard to use - so you can start with some fun eurorack modules.

finally got some time to mess around in bespoke. pretty fun!

ok thread, show me your guitars (and other ‘traditional’ instruments). i am window shopping again

i just put 9’s back on my squier strat (was playing on 8’s) and it feels so much more forgiving in a way. playing with 8’s needs such a light touch. but i kind of miss the easy vibrato

I used to play an arctic white p-bass but even though I have quite large hands I just prefer short scale so had this one made just for me.

Otherwise I mostly play an old Hofner classical guitar and my old upright piano.

i’m compelled to ask though - what’s the input latency like?

I think MIDI’s typically around 10ms so unless this is adding more than 6ms in the wrapper to make it Xinput you’re under the 16ms/60 FPS window.

IME other Xinput wrappers add ~1ms of latency.

not noticeable to my scrub hands!

in other news i bought a celestion blue for my one guitar cab
it’s the best guitar speaker, wattage notwithstand (but that’s why i have a fucking great attentuator)

reader it played so good. neck feels great, super bright and clear humbucker. not a great time to buy a new guitar considering I just quit my job, sadly…

you can buy real deal grateful dead p.a. stuff and owsley stanley’s lab tools. the estimates are so incredibly low. deadheads are basically a wealthy/republican bunch.
