Nowadays I’m on the Tao instead of Buddhism so it’s cool to destroy beautiful creatures. Because calling something beautiful creates ugliness and judging something to be good creates bad, so I don’t do that and just go with the natural flow of things/videogames

(It’s not actually said in the Tao that you shouldn’t see things as beautiful/ugly/good/bad. That’s one possible interpretation though I guess, although the Tao doesn’t really tell you to do anything. It’s more like “take care of your own shit, I don’t care, it’s all cool, here’s some facts about existence though.” It just explains things and doesn’t want to force you into living a certain way. Another interpretation is that these things are there but just define each other, like long and short, high and low, before and after. The whole thing is used to further explain non-action (Wu Wei), which is big in the Tao, as is naturalness as a whole.)

Do you still read the Tao from time to time? Nowadays I read it with 5 translations side by side. I want to make my own version composed of the lines that are most helpful to me. Not based on how accurate of a translation each is but whichever helps me the most. I’ve given up on the idea of an “accurate” translation anyway, it’s not applicable to the daodejing it seems
