i saw a clip of this game recently, and there’s an area in there that really does look like it was cut and pasted in from a survival horror game

i like it when games let you press select instead of down to move down a menu

people who are overly pedantic about “original aspect ratio” with SNES-and-older games when often the same game on different platforms would have different (pixel) aspect ratios

like, yeah one of these in each case is a sloppy conversion, but the inevitable conclusion is that one of the officially released games has the “wrong” aspect ratio, which is also the “mathematically true” aspect ratio.

this isn’t even getting into PAL!

anyway, i’ve decided people running snes in 8:7 with skinny mario have my blessings

Videogames are the worst when it comes to numbering sequels. Like a movie series would never do whatever the hell Contra or Street Fighter does, or Shinobi. Hell even comics starting over all the time isn’t as terrible as Kingdom Hearts
