Mute City @ 34:10 is so
my favorite black/matrix song
Sorry, this is my favorite:
(at ~22:50)
yeah i was gonna pick like one or two tracks from the vid i linked but it’s got a nice flow as a whole album with a bunch of really neat, fun and almost surprising moments. knowing that this is a tactics rpg of sorts, these soundtracks really make me want to play some black/matrix—i assume it’s at least worth it for the jams, and i know the games have their fans
what a way to trick my body into believing Holst’s Jupter, The Bringer of Jollity is about to start any moment now
In the Hall of the Bringer of Jollity
I tried to make a post about Triangle Service & Naoto here but the videos wouldn’t embed so I got annoyed and deleted it. I’ll leave this one up and try to edit some in. These are the only full tracks I can find on yt rn, their stuff gets taken down. RIP my beloved Fortress Trizeal uploads
More Naoto, from /\ZEAL
I have a ton of Triangle Service/-Zeal games on my Steam account that have been largely unplayed. Shmups Skill Test makes me wonder what a shmup-themed Wario Ware would be like, like what if you got different shmup developers (or what’s left of them) to piece together an exquisite corpse shmup or series of absurd shmup microgames with 10 second timers.
this is probably in my top 3 favorite SMT3 tracks because it’s so relaxing.
i keep meaning to do a relaxin’ with megami tensei playlist. revelations: persona and some of the GameBoy spin-off titles have some relaxing music.
My favorite chill Megaten track is a boss theme
I’d love a playlist of all Persona 2 shop themes only because these ruled. I’m sure there are a few gems in there
My favorite shop theme in 2 is Kaori, I think.
Aoba Park is probably the most relaxing track in EP. It’s a piano arrange of Change Your Way with some nice park noises going on.
what a good and cool game
I love the novelty tracks the games had, too:
The Errors of Their Youth version of Persona Mambo is pretty rad, too.
The remix of Lisa’s Theme is probably my favorite track off of Errors of Their Youth, though. I especially love at around 1:50 in, where it starts to sound a bit like Robin S’s Show Me Love.
Maya’s Theme remix is pretty good, too.
And Eikichi’s Theme.
North America:
was this like, somebody at Sega of America’s band or something? The intro track is pretty rad, but still. Two games in 1995 with this band I’ve never heard of?
Yoooo I rented this game several times in 95-96, and I completely forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me! I need to grab a copy. I used to love the dialogue you’d have with your rivals before a race.
Thank whoever uploaded this video to Archive, because that’s what alerted me to it. Do we have a “games with modified soundtracks depending on region” thread? BioMetal, Cyber Speedway, Resident Evil, et cetera.
