Halo: Combat Evolved showed up briefly in Ep 5 of my watchthrough of the cancelled scifi series Threshold.

(Dr. Caffrey comes in to the briefing room to find resident egghead Lucas bombing across Blood Gulch in an empty Warthog)

Dr. Caffrey: “Who’s winning?”

Lucas: “Ahg. The bad guys.”

Dr. Caffrey: “If you stick to the north side of the bunker, you can pick off the jackals one at a time.”

Lucas: (smiles, truly touched) “…Thanks!”

[After their conversation about the alien invasion, Lucas is clearly wandering a completely empty multiplayer map, looking at various parked vehicles.]

Dr. Caffrey: “Good luck with the jackals.”

Lucas: (smiles) “…Thanks.”

(Lucas looks between the two parked vehicles, aims at his own warthog with the rocket launches, and fires
