surprise surprise: this movie sucks ass
*not literally traded in for to afford it even though the $80 calculator is a major expense for them and the Game Boy is imo explicitly set up to frame JD’s slacking on his studies…there’s a lot of weird split second inferences and odd directs like the incomplete marquee spelling of For–st Gump as he speeds by on his bike (to steal said calculator) or the close up of a document reading “Hilary, Libya, file” that his gf puts her iphone down on after a dramatic call with adult JD, reconvening with her colleagues who are discussing whether objectivity exists and every legal case is subjective??? but I digress, for my own sanity
