It’s a mistake to think of Classic as a 13-year old game. It’s modern WoW rebuilt using Classic’s functionality as a design specification; the deepest guts have much more in common with the modern game than the original version. One look at the graphics settings should demonstrate this. As a result, modern addons are comparatively trivial to port over. The version of TradeSkillMaster I’m using is practically a clone of the version on retail, just minus the realm-specific data that wasn’t available in vanilla and therefore hasn’t been enabled for Classic. I was able to copy all my pricing formulas over and only needed to drop a couple of invalid pricing source variables.

in fact, the way to do it is mostly holy until somewhere between 40 and 45 depending on the quality of your wand at the time, and then respec so you’re shadow + wand spec at 45. I hate shadow priest, in every incarnation of wow. it always changes because blizzard doesn’t know what it is, and no matter what they do to it it still sucks. but it’s always pretty popular. probably one of the reasons it’s always popular is because when blizzard gives up with it and tries something else it is inevitably overpowered for awhile. classic wow shadow priest is very strong in pvp and 95% useless in pve.
all I’m getting from this is all the specs I think are boring are the good ones and the ones I enjoy playing are the bad ones

My “main” that I mostly solo with is a Rogue and I have a Mage alt that I only ever play in a set 3-man group with my besties but I also just rolled a Druid alt? Why did I do that??

Hey so, for no reason at all: How do the servers work between different regions like say America and Europe? Are ALL of you playing Alliance? Would playing a hunter (like I just happened to do back in 2007 but never actually got to 60) be setting oneself back?

the servers are separated as part of the legacy of WoW accounts being regional specific (it’s not like OW or D3 where you can launch to a different region)
Ah. Looked into it a bit more and it seems like the only real problem then is that you need to pay a separate subscription fee per region. One can probably live with that and just do the out of region one but I guess also would have to depend on how bad the ping is. (although a bad one would honestly just even more closely match my 2007 experience)
Everyone having broadband is a huge step up even from domestic in-region servers on release. The game can be very tight with timing but it’s not like, Street Fighter tight. I bet it would be fine. You may want to check official Blizzard forums for other people’s experiences first.
Hunter is the best solo leveling class in the game and very powerful DPS in group, it is the opposite of gimped.
