media blasters have announced a blu ray set of “standalone kamen riders”, which i guess means stuff like movies that aren’t direct spinoffs from tv shows, as well as specials like kamen rider world. but not kamen rider g because of boy band licensing problems.
and they’re maybe also looking into the possibility of more tokusatsu in the future?

i think kamen rider tv shows are generally in the hands of shout factory, they’re releasing zi-o and they’ve had a few shows (i think maybe including kuuga?) on their streaming site

the little cg baby thing is really offputting though. i couldn’t make it past 2 episodes of kamen rider saber because it was so cg heavy, this looks even worse D:

Yeah, I’m really baffled they can shade it that bad in the physically based rendering era, plus straight up not even bothering with contact shadows. They could just do it in UE and it’d look better by default.

i haven’t seen power rangers dino fury yet, but everything i hear about it is positive, and seeing that it’s won an award from glaad for lgbt representation just feels good somehow?
