Cadence of Hyrule uses a remix of the criminally underrated LTTP lost woods music! They’ve got great taste in Zelda music.
This is stuck in my head at least once a quarter since the release of LTTP
alright I got one of these damn things along with “vouchers” for MM2 and DQXI
Joycons are very expensive! I got the console for $200 US because I’m able to basically use Macbook accessories in lieu of the regular dock and charger which is the bougiest added value ever but another controller would be like 40% the cost of the whole machine?
anyway how do I do a friend
You can get an 8bitdo or Mayflash USB stick and use any Bluetooth pad as long as the game isn’t something goofy with the gyroscopes
I’d still have to get two of the damn things to connect two more controllers though huh
FYI the MacBook chargers only charge the Switch at 5W (I.e. overnight needed for full charge, may not keep up with a demanding game if charging while playing) because they push 5V/9V/20V whereas the Switch pulls 5V/15V .
Don’t get a Nintendo charger either as that will have the opposite problem. Only third-party chargers are capable of fast charging both Mac laptops and the Switch – and they have better weight/power ratio nowadays anyway.
my information suggests this was true prior to the 2018 MBP which fixed this problem
Possible, I didn’t buy an Apple charger since 2017. Does your Apple charger say 15V somewhere in the small gray print?
OK you are good to go. That is a useful update for me as well since I do like the travel plug modularity on the Apple chargers
and I even previously thought to get this as my macbook USB/HDMI dongle because it’s compatible with both
I am a human consumer report
Select your homescreen user icon, select profile, and then tell us your friend code that you see on screen.
doesn’t the Mayflash one explicitly support gyros in DS4s or am I thinking of the other one
or I could check myself because internet and the Mayflash one supports gyro on newer firmwares
Brook also makes a thing that slots into the battery pack of an Xbone controller and gives it a gyro and Switch compatibility
Well I’m sold
Oh yeah because the chargers are freaking 40 bucks I have an extra because of misshaps post SBCon1.
well I bought a fuckin’ switch on ebay, what have I done. I guess I own zelda and mario odyssey and mario + rabbits. I don’t even know what the mario rabbits game is, and I’ll probably try to sell it, but I got 'em all for $290 and that seems about as close to a deal as you’ll get in nintendo land
it’s X-Com, but for kids, by Ubisoft
Also Peach has a shotgun
Hey, I also just ordered one of these, since refurbished ones were on nintendo dot com for $250 (I ordered the Mario-red one even though I think I really wanted the blue and red one, because I am a sucker for limited edition bullshit). Arriving later this week. Got myself some Zelda, Mario Odyssey, Celeste, and Hollow Knight ready to go with intent to pick up Mario Maker 2.
Guess I’m preparing myself to get DQ11, DQ Builders 2, and Pokemon later this year. That’s almost too much. (Interested in Astral Chain, too, but will almost certainly be picking that up much alter.)
I should probably pick up Mario U as well, for some local fun (also 2D Mario platformers are about the only games I can get my partner interested in playing with me).
Now that I have one of these I’m feeling sad that 3D World isn’t on this thing… yet?
Got myself a few accessories too. Hoping the grips I picked up make using a joycon solo feel better.
I really wanna see if I can avoid paying for a Switch Pro controller or another pair of fucking joycons. Do other USB controllers work with the Switch at all? If not, do GameCube controllers (I still have 4 good ones) attached via the USB adapter work pretty well for most things?
