Switch! (Part 1)

I didn’t realize that in its structure this was a Desert Strike type game… I’m interested.

Nintendo did another one of their indie game previews today. Some of the stuff they talked about had previously been announced, and there were some new announcements too. Into the Breach is out today. Towerfall, Hyper Light Drifter, Bastion, Sword & Sorcery EP, and some other stuff is coming soon.

I really like the look of a semi-abstract twinstick (?) shooter thing called Zarvot. Makes me think of a non-militaristic Kokuga.

How bizarre

Indeed. Nintendo’s presentation focussed on Zarvot’s multiplayer arena mode, but it looks like there’s a surprisingly detailed story mode:

Success' producer on Umihara Kawase Fresh!: they haven't changed devs, Studio Saizensen is still working on the game & Toshinobu Kondo is still handling chara design, and the "rubber engine" from the previous titles is being used for Fresh! so it'll maintain the fundamental feel https://t.co/c6iCofk0F9

Umihara Kawase Fresh! will ditch the traditional stage structure for an interconnected metroidvania-style map with a quest system; less skilled players can take the prescribed routes, hardcore players can take shortcuts & speedrun using traditional tech🇯🇵https://t.co/GiTQbtUXai

man i would buy wild guns reloaded but it sure is like 30 bucks? much more interested in this though.

i’m surprised there’s no elevator action returns on switch yet, but i have faith.

Wild Guns is like it is on the PS4 where the NA release is more expensive ($30) but has a physical version whereas the Japanese release is only 1800¥ but is digital only (which probably translates to a hair above 16 bucks, give or take currency markets)

holy shit

Considering they put Umihara in Blade Strangers, I really hope Nicalis has nothing to do with localizing this if it comes here because I’d really like to play it. It’s impossible to get across to people just how awful Nicalis really is.

Go on.

You can try; I’m listening.
