Good.

The strange vibe quotient of the floating castle level is off the scale.

I love the way the diskarmor feels as a weapon it has this weird snappy physicality to it

I wanna say tone is attack damage but it’s been ages idk for sure

  • Tone : You begin the game with a Tone of 30. As you defeat certain enemies, the value of your Tone will increase. As your Tone improves, so does the offensive power of the diskarmor, enabling you to defeat enemies with fewer hits.
  • Last : You begin the game with a Last of 10. As you defeat certain enemies, the value of Last will increase independently of Tone. When you collect a total of 48 Last points, the number of health units in your meter will increase by one. As Last increases, you will earn one more unit of health at increasing interval, up to a maximum of 12 health points.
  • Mind : As you defeat enemies, they will occasionally drop items. Sometimes they will drop a single or double star icon. Every star you collect adds one bar to the Mind count, up to a maximum of seven. These Mind points are used to cast spells

Thinking about Rygar NES always makes me think it existed in some crazy alternate dream world I invented as a kid. The music, the environments, the dialogue, the fact that you can bounce off enemies like Mario, etc. I really need to revisit that one and see if it’s as strange as my fifth grade self thought it was.

it is

it has this monolithic, mythic quality to it that I still find quite stunning

it also has a fairly easily accessible minus world like out of bounds area.

That thing where you slide enemies around the battle field before attacking looks like a pain in the ass.

is the breath of the wild dlc any good? thinking about starting a new game on hard innit

I liked the extra shrines, but the new story stuff about the champions was as lackluster as the original story stuff about the champions.

I enjoyed the plateau on hard mode, but I thought the challenge diminished once I left that area (though I haven’t played all the way through on hard).

The trial of the sword roguelike challenges weren’t for me. Combat isn’t what draws me to BotW.

The motorcycle is fun but frivolous.

Still don’t like BOTW. My son loves cutting the grass in it, though.

BOTW belongs on the Wii U and Twilight Princess belongs on the Gamecube. I will die on this hill!

Do any of the Switch Lite owners feel any buyer’s remorse re: not buying a regular Switch?

Every now and then I start to waver and consider buying a Switch.
