you’re mad, all you had to do was pay Nintendo 3 bucks and you could use your 3DS as a controller in Smash 4
the way the regular Switch works is the joycons have a physical connection with the system for both data and power (that’s how they do the firmware update thing), so they’re effectively shut off as wireless entities and I’m going to guess that they just did a single PCB that’s electronically recognized in such a manner and also they probably cut out the BT transmitters needed as well, only leaving a radio for other controllers and peripherals
i still have the pattern layouts memorized from my old strategy guide, like as soon as i see what the first two cards are i can remember so much of the board. i would like this memory to be replaced with something useful
