I recommend their albums London 0 Hull 4 and The People Who Grinned Themselves to Death if you like politically-charged 80s jangly English indie pop. their cover of he ain’t heavy he’s my brother is really good.

the lead singer went on to form another band called the beautiful south and they have a very catchy song about a woman who was murdered by her alcoholic husband and buried in the walls.
