John Walker hasn’t been part of RPS for a bit now, so it would have to be someone else… which I see was pointed out as I scroll further into this topic.
That said John Walker does run a smaller site/blog now trying to surface overlooked games that I happen to follow (he has a good eye for puzzle games) and… that kinda sucks to read. Glad I never gave a buck to its patreon at least.
Tim Stone was first hired under his tenure though, is the thing. The newer folks seem better from what I’ve seen.

if there was a reasonably priced silent thing i could use any usb/bt controller i have with that had some assurance of backwards compat when the next thing comes out then yeah maybe
going to spend the holidays catching up with switch stuff instead of refreshing websites trying to cop a 3070 anyway

i’m a bit wary of xbox stuff because a lot of japanese games i’ve enjoyed this gen didn’t show up at all or were really late eg. saga scarlet grace, dq11, nier automata etc.
maybe that’ll change this time?

Finally; an Xbox Player for my GC
I saw some of the next gen consoles on display at Best Buy the other day and the new xboxes are very small but the buttons feel awful to press. Just really cheap off brand PC case quality stuff.
The PS5 didn’t seem to come off as big as I expected but that might have just been the internet priming me to expect something even more than it was.
