STUNLOCK THE PRESSES: combo breaking news (Part 1)

there should be a battle where you need to try to get a marble rye bread to the other side of the map while two people circle the map on chocobos and you need to avoid them so they don’t know you took the bread after they didn’t serve it. also you need to have the Beef-a-Roni item in your inventory before the battle so you can leave it on the field for the Chocobos to eat as a distraction.

Final Fantasy Tactics: my sin, my soul

This even bothers me in Celeste, as much as I like Celeste.

Maybe I’m slightly less sensitive, but this high-res sidebar in Sega Ages Phantasy Star never bothered me either. It doesn’t look perfect, especially the text that looks slapped onto the map post facto, but they did take the time to come up with a retrofuturistic “alien parchment” aesthetic, as compared to the first screenshot which looked the programmer wrote some textwrite(x,y) calls and didn’t even bother to align everything correctly.

I suspect in this case it would’ve also looked awful to try to make something look like pixels that are part of the game when it’s clearly out of bounds

There is a big difference between the two in that capcom actually still makes video games.

it was pretty good!

Granted I didn’t get that far into Dragon’s Dogma, but does that game have an actual story you could make an anime out of? Felt like a pretty generic, bare bones setup for open world action to me.

probably exactly why they chose to adapt this vs another capcom property. also DD has no defined protagonist, either, so, a lot of room to do whatever the fuck they want.

Game fucking rules and spoiling the story would be a crime.

Dragon’s Dogma supposedly sold really well so it’s amazing Capcom has waited so long to make a sequel. Maybe Dragon’s Dogma Online was doing well enough?

I only ever get an hour into the game every time I play it but I heard the ending gets very anime and I also saw some concept art of stuff they supposedly couldn’t fit into the final game about visiting the pawn dimension and an yggsrassil looking map of multiple dimensions that comprise the game’s apparent lore and it looked super cool.
