there are certain videogame tunes that rattle around in my head endlessly, capable of popping up at any given moment. often short, simple loops. they leave a permanent impression

lots of this initial batch of examples are old nintendo games, and lots of koji kondo stuff - an absolute master of the brief but impactful looper

(this one technically doesn’t loop, but it’s the extended/original version of the truncated/looping ending tune in smb1 and maintains its loopable qualities)

(the menu/game over theme is simpler and purer, but this extended version’s a massive bop)
