Saw this chart in a car forum.
Edit:
(Not super exciting) Accompanying vid for context:
The first thing I did upon opening SnowRunner for the first time was disable the music, because the MudRunner music was annoying.
Turns out the Kola Peninsula music is decent, though, and it’s possible some of the other areas aren’t bad but these days I’m always listening to something else when I play anyway.
This is the first song about trucks that comes to my mind. (The second is “Rabid Child” by They Might Be Giants.) This song is more about garbage than trucks, but one thing it makes clear is that SnowRunner could do a lot more with garbage hauling and processing. It’s always just a neat box you deliver somewhere.
Wait a minute, what is this? I saw a vid of someone doing garbage trucking and logging.
Edit: Timestamped video that starts with you wanting to buy an R32 Skyline then explains how you get a pizza delivery job to pay for it and everything cascades from there.
I don’t love the way it looks, but it sounds neat!
Someone in high places must have seen my post in this thread about adding more garbage truck content to SnowRunner, as evidenced by this press release.
Mod to add optimus prime
WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH FUCKING GUARD RAILS
Whenever your instinct is to try driving over a guard rail because your wheels should be big enough, you should definitely go for it.
(This also applies to stumps.)
So far I have gotten every truck I have found immobilized on a guard rail. I think you are telling me fibs.
Not at all. Had I said something about your efforts resulting in a successful outcome, that would have been a fib.
Also, when you see a shortcut that looks as if it will save you a little time, absolutely attempt it.
It’s fun to go as fast as possible over any stumps and guard rails that threaten to impede progress, especially if you have a bunch of inertia from hauling full trailer beds of cargo
On an unfamiliar map this gives me about a 50/50 chance of looking brilliant or stupid.
Yes, identifying shortcuts is fun and a legitimate part of the game.
What I should have said is that if you attempt a shortcut that might have saved you ten minutes but you realize you’ve been stuck for an hour, don’t give up but remain determined to make the shortcut work. That’s what I often do, anyway.
If the game hasn’t scared you off entirely yet and you want a preview of some of the fancy upgraded trucks you’ll be able to get eventually, we can do a co-op session.
I don’t use any mods, though, so you might be morally opposed to driving my trucks.
I assembled a new gaming rig and this was the first game I played out of solidarity. But it’s exactly like I thought it would be. I got to Alaska. It might be too plodding for me. I did have two high adventures getting my car off of guard rails. Truly a strand type game.

After not playing this for a month or so, last night I tried out the garbage truck in Belozersk Glades. Totally by coincidence, one of the very first contracts was to transport some garbage to the junkyard.
They’ve added the ability to choose any truck color you want, but only for a solid-color paint job. After the next update, you’ll be able to fully customize the three-color coats. Supposedly they are also adding AWD to the Mack TerraPro because people complained about it. It performs pretty well as-is with OHD 1 tires, but I’ll be happy to take AWD.
