some games that combine modern lighting with low res (or fake low res) sprites and textures just end up looking cheap, but delver looks incredible

How are you finding the GameCube game? I thought about playing it in the hopes that it would be pleasantly simple vs. the later games with more superstructure. I don’t want to be the mayor! But it could also be irritating without “quality of life” changes.
the gamecube game is great as long as you can deal with the neighbors being kinda aggro to you for being a human in an animal town. it thematically makes the most sense out of the series i think
