strangely the header and the buttons seemed to ignore the styling, the post dividers too, but i don’t think they’re affected by any of those. Some drop-down menu backgrounds also retained their default styling.
@rye others: you don’t have to go to the trouble of doing the CSS, just giving me the colours that’ll fit in here:
plus your colour for alternate rows if you want that + any other tweaks you might like is enough!
Please let me know which elements I’ve missed BTW, I done these when I was supposed to be doing work-for-the-dole stuff ; )

Using mauve’s mauve scheme aptly named “mauve’s Mauve” after using the IC-imitaion one for a bit.
I like the IC one, even the strange out of place yellow headers, but this mauve one is also quite pleasant.

ive been using the mauve theme since it got added and i definitely enjoy reading the forum more

One thing I don’t really like about the mauve theme that I’ve now noticed is that the badge that’s normally highlighted with the number of new posts is now plain gray, while the unread old posts is the one that has color. It was throwing me off.

Also added the Purple theme. It’s called “Chewing Soul”. It still needs some more color adjustments, but it’s there.
I also have a blue theme I was working on a while back:
