yes yes to ikaruga and radiant silvergun even though i am not gamer enough to have successfully completed either of them
one time @haley and i spent two hours trying trying to complete the first stage of radiant silvergun on coop and only managed to get just past the midboss
i did not know that excite truck supported custom soundtracks, ill admit im quite fond of the original soundtrack, where they asked the metroid composer to go ham for an hour of generic dad rock instrumentals

RAD Robotic Alchemic Drive for having the coolest control scheme for a giant robot game
YS 1 and 2 Yeah these go together, theyāre two halves of a whole story, also the bump system rules and is fun
YS Oath in Felghana The remake of Ys 3 is the best one, and is just all around legendary. Such a great game

this game has style imo. I really like how itās got the mega man thing with the powers, but the bosses patterns all change depending on when you fight them in the roster, and thereās so many different ways to fight. Parrying a gatling gun made me feel like a god

Somehow I canāt bring myself to put celeste on the list!!! Even though it made me cry, and also I watched my boss play the same room about 50 times and die every time (it was the DLC, he is really good at the game but it was his first time playing those extra hard levels) and I will never forget the sheer Anime Determination he had on his face.

Jetpack (DOS) ā I made too many levels in this as a kid. Also, a decade ago I submitted a bunch of levels for a grotesque-looking official sequel made by the original guy and I guess it finally came out a couple years back or something, but I never kept up with its development so I donāt even know if my levels were ever incorporated into the final product and oh yeah its a flash game and what the heck the level editor has a scripting language??? why donāt i play new games?? EDIT: looks like one of my levels was selected to start chapter 3!!
Super Monkey Ball ā While SMB2 gave us the amazing character of Dr. Bad-Boon, this original game has a certain elemental purity that the sequel lacks ā and by that I mean that the sequel had pointless starting platforms on every stage for gord knowās what reason.

Recca ā I also second or third this or whatever. Itās an excellent entry in the genre of āgames where I always game over by the third levelā, by which I mean every traditional shmup ever (maybe I should get good at these games).
Rokko Chan ā Completes the Mega Man 9/10 trilogy, and is perhaps secretly the best one of the three (or at least shows the least disdain towards the player).
Uniracers (aka Unirally) ā The injustice Pixar committed against this game shall never be forgotten. Let this game get re-released. Let this become the next hot e-sport. Let this become the next hot battle-royale-MOBA-auto-chess racing game. Let this game take its rightful place in the pantheon of vidcons.
