As someone who has never been near snowy hills or whatever due to my health issues making it awkward, for whatever reason I always felt SSS captured the sense of the individual better than other snowboarders? I have no idea why given my lack of experience. Also I really dug the timezone thing.

i played on the saturn but the ps1 version is not a port at all but a significantly different game, different level design and secret placements.
the pc port is yet another version on a different engine and itâs quite mediocre apparently

Powerslave EX - itâs a port of the PSX version of exhumed to PC, made by the guy who did all the Doom 64 ports

the dos version is actually the original version of the game, and yes its just a shitty build engine shooter, with almost no relation to the wonderful Saturn/PSX games. Saturn/PSX versions (and by extension Powerslave EX) are definitely the games anyone means when they talk about powerslave/exhumed positively. PSX version I would say is a port of the Saturn game that had a lot of changes made to accommodate the different hardware limitations of the PSX
