Just got a beat to shit copy of this game a week ago and it’s so beautiful.
a thing i like to see in sonic romhacks is new colour palettes for the stages. this one, coupled with the fact that it had started wigging out technically, made for a nice look. unfortunately, said wigging meant i couldn’t go any further

also everyone already knows that thunderforce iv is a game that excells in every department, but it is worth a reminder sometimes


the stages in art of fighting 3 seem designed to make it seem like the fighters are outsiders from society. as well all these empty liminal spaces, there’s a stage i didn’t screenshot (a still wouldn’t have really captured its mood) where you’re kind of in some dark backstage area while a big ongoing celebration can be glimpsed in the background, past the nearby scenery
