Some screenshots of the 4 gamejam games I did over the second half of last year.

The last one I just finished polishing up and it’s probably the most completely I’ve been able to execute on a vision for a gamejam project, I’m pretty proud of how it turned out.
I haven’t attempted to put ladders into a game in 13 years, both because a) programming them was hard and b) drawing a good ladder-climbing sprite also seemed hard, but I managed to implement both pretty well in the span of about 70 minutes last night, so that was neat.
what engine do you use?
Still riding with GameMaker
Okay, after futzing around with this some more, it is pretty good, but I think tonight I’m going to just adapt a system somebody else wrote because there are some situations that my current approach can’t deal with, and I don’t want that to hinder the designs of levels I want to make. Damn. Oh well, good experience trying.
My friends and I did a gamejam at the beginning of January (the one w/ the big spider boss). We posted the games to itchio w/ a post mortem. Also a neat video showing off all the games and good times. Please enjoy

At long last, my surreal comedy-drama prologue to the story of the world’s biggest Hooters fan is coming out. Publicly available this Friday as part of Indiepocalypse issue #57. Would mean the world if y’all checked it out :]
Hope y’all don’t mind the double post too much, but the game is HECKING out!! Link is in my previous post.
Please tell me what y’all think
love the mess around the eye its really giving stressed the fuck out
I think that was me forgetting to erase some stuff but I’m glad it adds lol
I’ve been lurking here for like 2 years but now that i’ve been doing more random game dev experiments i figured now is a decent time to actually start posting lol. Here’s a video i took when i was figuring out how to do fixed camera angles like 7 months ago. Shout out to today’s sponsor models resource.
downloaded adventure creator and i love ittttttt. It’s so easy to set up wacky camera stuff like this with no code. Can’t wait to mess with the actual puzzle/dialogue systems.
I am cursed to be the type of guy that prefers more templately game engines i.e. rpg maker but also isn’t intrested in making anything in 2d https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gET7P5S-biY&feature=youtu.be
