Fair enough, but at least on a personal level, If I stopped to pick a fight every time I heard someone say something stupid, I would probably not have lived this long.
I grew up in Florida, and with neo-pentecostal parents who were raised deep in the heart of Pennsyltucky. My outlook is a survival mechanism at this point to be honest.
ok sure, but maybe dont assume it applies to the world at large then. that flagged post was a really weird response to what i said. im from rural wisconsin and i can definitely sympathize but i also realize its an incredibly selfish outlook in the grand scheme of things. at some point you have to think about whether or not your survival mechanism is actually just you putting your personal comfort above doing the right thing

i think everybody knows that kids overreact but the argument youre making here is still incredibly weird. assuming that a lot of the people melting down about pokemon are children who are comparing it to the holocaust or whatever else dumb inflammatory shit - which wasnt nearly as common as you think when we were all kids by the way - is letting a lot of stupid ass adults off the fucking hook for no reason, dude
