videogames that either look/feel like or are diegetically framed as dioramas, game boards populated by toy models, etc. advance wars immediately springs to mind
include all related materials, such as:
or instances of actual toys in games, like the capsule toys in shenmue

In terms of aesthetic, does Yoshi’s Story count? Especially this level:
Not plastic, but the wooden block thing still strikes me as being very toy-like otherwise.

Hitman Go has a very good board game aesthetic
the Army Men game Portal Runner is like the opposite of this: take a game about toys and turn it into a…horny…fantasy game?
I dunno I’ve never played it but it looks terrible in so, many, ways.

ahahhah according to wikipedia this is the game that GamePro panned so badly that trip hawkins threatened to stop advertising with them
“…there is something wrong with (the reviewer), not with Portal Runner . If you disagree with me, you do so at your own peril… I should mention in passing that 3DO has been one of your largest advertisers. Effective immediately, we are going to have to cut that back.”

I remember renting Portal Runner! I don’t remember much about it other than it did not leave enough of an impression on me that made me want to play any more of it after I had to take it back.
Edit-I originally typed it Portal Hunter what kind of game does that sound like.
