like, my guy, be thankful that at least the current crop of teens and soon-to-be twentysomethings grew up without pan-and-scan
Just occurred to me that the main reason I prefer watching movies in a theatre is because the seats are usually more comfortable than my couch, so I assume this is what Denis is talking about
I swear HD-DVD releases on my Toshiba HD-A35 are the best home theater experience I’ve had when it comes to video quality. Of course this is subjective, but these come from a time before streaming movies truly took off.
I fucking miss the theater god are you kidding.
You Americans talk to fucking much though. God shut up and watch the movie.
the last movie i saw in a theatre was the harley quinn one, it was like a matinee several weeks after the movie came out and the only other people in the theatre were this stoned couple who talked at full volume throughout the entire movie
i like when it happens in a full theatre and people are like actually commenting on the film itself, though even that can get old fast i guess.
A mischievous genie solved this by creating no talking theaters that are also a Chili’s
They got hit really hard and were gonna close the san antonio locations I thought?
Oh, possibly! I expect the business model will return if dining does.
really glad that lospec efforts continue to deliver
No. It’s 90s pinkus in 700MB vhsrips with yellow subtitles.
Have you been treated to the German Cinema Experience once?
(don’t you dare sitting on the wrong seat, even if you are Freud, that’s a No-Go (or GOTO hell))
Having seen Bladerunner 2048 on the biggest screen in town (IMAX ~50ish miles away was sold out for a week plus, unfortunately, so turning up an getting in by chance wasn't an option) and it was worth it for me, at least. Wish I'd have seen Arrival on that screen/in cinema at all, so I kinda feel for him and all who miss out on the experience of watching those paintings on a proper canvas.
Yeah… i am a sucker for his output, sorry
He’s going to giggle!
“budget”
the fact that this guy’s job/hobby appears to be designing/lusting-for even bigger versions of his outrageous desk is heartwarming
Watching Jurassic park on vhs on a TV like that in the Chevy suburban of my rich elementary school classmate’s family has got to be one of the most compelling cinematic experiences of my life
Right up there with watching Jurassic park on laserdisc at a different friends house
I feel like a lot of people tried to impress me with Jurassic park in elementary school, and it worked every time
