War All The Time by Thursday is another one of those Big Deal albums from back in the day and I still feel the rep is deserved. It’s not something I want to listen to every day but it’s great. It doesn’t have my favorite Thursday song on it, though.

Faded Seaside Glamour by Delays is definitely one of those albums where I was feeling buyer’s remorse a few hours after I got home from Tower Records. I bet I just really liked the album title.
Listening to it now, I had a hard time getting through it. Three songs in I felt like I’d been sitting in a waiting room for 45 minutes. There’s really only one song on this album I like so,
I am still listening to CDs but my enthusiasm for writing about it has gone to zero basically. Maybe I’ll update again when I decide which ones to keep and which to dispose of
I bought a new CD case and was arranging my discs in them alphabetically. I was having a little trouble getting a disc to slide under the plastic in one of the sleeves, so I flexed it a little bit trying to catch the edge of the sleeve. The disc snapped in half, fuck!
RIP “Violence” by Nothingface. I was probably not in a hurry to listen to that one again but what an inglorious end. But perhaps this was destiny because it meant the rest of all the discs I hadn’t immediately consigned to disposal actually fit in the case.
I also had a disc in there that I recognized, and could remember songs from, but God help me if I could remember the band’s name or the album title. Thank you Pixel phone for spying on me and informing me I had listened to the album “Gentle Firefly Radio” by Isle of View. Fun album, this band was one and done it looks like. Here’s a fun track:
