I’ve considered getting into murder she wrote again I haven’t watched it since I was a kid and remember nothing about it. Does it hold up
its not as good as columbo but its also a levinson & link joint just like columbo so ‘not as good as columbo’ just means its only better than 99% of television instead of 100% of television

it’s a very calming show to just put on, it’s a bit less intense than columbo i’d say

Occasionally I remember that my first taste of Columbo came via an Alias-themed short ABC convinced Peter Falk to do in 2002 or 2003, and it’s SO BAD. There’s actually nothing Columbo about it–it’s just “useless old man among (allegedly) super-serious CIA agents”.
And the thing is, Alias/Columbo COULD HAVE WORKED. Alias is all about Jennifer Garner being a globe-trotting Spy Barbie–just have Columbo insert himself into spy missions, doing his “just one more thing” to an increasingly ludicrously disguised Sydney, and you have a funny premise that’s ACTUALLY SPECIFIC TO THE CHARACTERS. Or, if they don’t actually want to imply that Sydney is a murder suspect–fair!–they could have them do an odd-couple partnership, with Sydney being all subterfuge-y and Columbo being his usual baldfaced self. Granted, either of those would have required people to understand who Columbo is and what his shtick is, but if you can’t take that as a given, DON’T USE COLUMBO.

played the demo of apple newton game which i think is 3 out of 40(?) cases and it is very cute although you don’t get to actually columbo around and be annoying you just inspect clues and explain the answer to the computer via a quiz. it’s still a fun little mystery game though. i hope someone dumps the rom of the whole game. also this game has many cases written by the creator of bubsy (and another guy who worked on bubsy 3d) and i’m pretty sure based on the timeline he was working on this game and bubsy 1 at the same time
