You mean you get to go to work with your childhood friend? Who writes this? Whose experience is this? I couldn’t tell you where any of my childhood friends are right now. This is like those police procedurals where the main characters are all coupled up or married to each other. Completely ridiculous. I love it. I think I’m all in on this one. Sorry everyone.

Square did TWO mobile Final Fantasies called Final Fantasy Dimension 1 and 2 and they were the Real Deal with a world map and turn based battles and crystals and jobs etc, but in practice they were just extremely derivative of the eaely FF with not a hint of a new idea in them, and no one remembers them. This looks just like that but worse since it’s HD-2D
I don’t think we realized that Square had sort of a new golden age a few years ago with too many bizarre projects like Dungeon Encounters, Diofield Chronicles, Voice of Cards, Harvestella etc and now it’s over

BE was shutdown outside of Japan in 24 and in Japan in 25 and its Octopath counterpart is still running
