they fuckin crowbarred the black flag aiming and combat into the ac3 remaster and it completely fucked up the game. im sure ubisoft has a list of “improvements” they will have made to this too
They also made it so that failing an eavesdropping no longer fails the mission, you just get into a fight instead. But what do you after you kill the people you were eavesdropping on? How do you get the information to complete the objective?
I wonder if they’re going to keep the eavesdropping missions you did from the boat lol. Kind of looking forward to seeing how much of a train wreck this turns out to be.

i sussed this website for ai vibes and idk if its a remnant or something but if u look at the source theres nonvisible text that says “Sign up for early access to the initial alpha, exclusive updates, special drops, and Glyphs NFTs inspired by the universe of Ecco.” i mean u can ctrl-f that on the page and it’ll highlight.

We reached out to Annunziata to inquire whether GenAI would be utilised in Ecco’s development. He replied that “not a single pixel” will be generated by AI, although he added that he intends to be “all in on DLSS on Switch 2”.

It was definitely the worst part of it and the quantity of it really is tempering any enthusiasm I’m having for the remake. They might come out and say they cut back on it but it looks like much of the original game is still intact, just some new bits have been added in here and there.

They’re also being very mum on whether or not Adewale’s DLC will be in the remake. They’ve said they aren’t doing DLC so people are taking that to mean the Adewale campaign won’t be playable but I’m hoping they will work it into the game alongside the new crew members since they’re giving those people quests and backstory missions. Just include the Adewale stuff in the same fashion Ubisoft or everyone will know you’re truly chickenshit.

jesus i forgot about this one. i’m so torn cos on the one hand oh my god the graphics but on the other i just know this is a style that’ll be subsumed by gacha games and i will come to loathe looking at it.
